CCUS Xchange Canada 2027 Opens Call for Speakers to Advance Commercial-Scale Carbon Management

CCUS Xchange Canada 2027 Opens Call for Speakers to Advance Commercial-Scale Carbon Management

CCUS Xchange Canada 2027 has opened its Call for Speakers, inviting senior executives, project developers, technical experts, infrastructure leaders, Indigenous partners, investors, and

policymakers to help shape a focused program addressing the next phase of carbon capture, utilization, and storage deployment across Canada.

Taking place on April 6, 2027, in Calgary, Alberta, the one-day conference will bring together industrial emitters, CCUS project developers, transport and storage operators, engineering

firms, technology providers, research organizations, government agencies, and capital providers working to move projects from feasibility and FEED toward construction, commissioning,

injection, and sustained commercial operation.

Canada combines significant industrial emissions sources, established carbon-management expertise, and extensive geological storage potential. The challenge is turning those advantages into integrated projects where capture performance, transport access, storage readiness,

commercial structures, and delivery timelines align. CCUS Xchange Canada 2027 is designed

around the practical decisions that determine whether projects reach final investment decision and perform reliably at scale.

Five Strategic Pillars

The 2027 program is structured around five strategic pillars: Capture Technology, Industrial Integration & Commercial Scale-Up; CO₂ Conditioning, Shared Hubs & Transport Networks; Geological Storage, Injection Performance & Long-Term Assurance; Project Bankability, Indigenous Partnerships & Full-Chain Delivery; and Carbon Utilization, Removals & Distributed CCUS Pathways.

Across these themes, the conference will examine capture-system performance, flue-gas conditions, energy demand, shared infrastructure, CO₂ specifications, transport capacity, injectivity, reservoir characterization, monitoring and verification, project incentives, risk

allocation, Indigenous equity participation, carbon utilization, removals, and emerging pathways for smaller and distributed emitters.

Call for Speakers

The conference committee is seeking speakers who can bring practical project experience, technical evidence, commercial insight, and implementation lessons to these discussions. Priority will be given to presentations grounded in real-world projects, operating data,

deployment experience, measurable outcomes, and commercially relevant case studies rather than broad corporate or promotional presentations.

Relevant contributors may include leaders from oil sands, refining, cement, chemicals, fertilizer, steel, natural gas processing, power generation, CCUS project development, pipelines,

geological storage, engineering and construction, capture technology, monitoring, project finance, Indigenous organizations, research institutions, and government.

Speakers will have the opportunity to contribute directly to a senior industry conversation while engaging with organizations responsible for capture, transport, storage, financing, and full-chain project delivery.

Advancing Integrated CCUS Projects

With 100+ delegates, 15+ expert speakers, five strategic agenda pillars, and one concentrated day of technical presentations, executive panels, and structured networking, CCUS Xchange Canada 2027 will focus on one central question: How can Canada turn CCUS potential into commercial-scale deployment?

Speaker proposals should include the speaker’s name, job title, organization, brief biography, and proposed topic or area of expertise.
